My name is Craig Wafford, I set up Satoga Services in January 2020 following a 29 year career working for Tyrolit Ltd. In those 29 years I've worked across most industry sectors as a technical sales engineer, application engineer, senior key account manager and abrasive safety trainer. Over the years I have worked on the majority of grinding applications from hand held grinding and cut off wheels in the metal fabrication, steel and foundry industry, to process development and optimisation of complex precision components on 5 axis grinding platforms in the aerospace and gas turbine industry. For the last 15 years I was responsible for developing and delivering abrasive safety training courses to Tyrolit's varied customers. In 2008 I was invited to join the British Abrasives Federation (BAF) training accreditation board to determine and set the standards required for BAF accredited safety training. Today with that knowledge and experience I can offer tailored solutions for your abrasive training needs.
I have spent too many long hours trying to stay awake during the numerous training courses, presentations and meetings I've attended. I know that death by Power Point is very unpleasant. With this in mind the courses have been designed to be engaging, informative, varied and interesting. All courses are conducted to a very high standard utilising computer-video projection and the relevant course material and literature.
At the beginning of each course all delegates receive a comprehensive abrasive safety manual that requires a small amount of completion during the various sections of the course. At the end of the course there's an evaluation test where delegates complete the test using their completed safety manual for reference. A BAF certificate is issued to all delegates that complete the course and will be registered with the BAF and kept on their data base for a period of three years.
